Advancement of prevention of Diabetes Mellitus in the patients with the kidney transplant

Diabetes Mellitus has been one of the major diseases that are being affecting many people around the world. Hence, when it comes to the treatment of the disease, there is not one. However, there is the controlling of the Diabetes Mellitus that is present. There are many complications that are associated with it. Most of the time the complications are occurring in the different systems of the body, however, when it comes to the treatment, there are many things to be considered. There are many patients which are in the hospitals which are going through the Kidney transplant. When it comes to the complications for this transplantation, there is the Diabetes Mellitus which is on the top of the list.

According to the statistics, there are 30% of the patients who develops the Diabetes Mellitus as the complication for kidney transplant. This happens in the first year after the surgery, and hence, there are many measures that are required to be taken for the controlling of this problem. Along with this, there is also the research which is saying that if the control of sugar is done after the transplant surgery, then the rate of Diabetes Mellitus will fall significantly. According to the team of researchers at Vienna General Hospital University, the use of the insulin therapy before the surgery for the kidney transplant will prevent the Diabetes Mellitus to be happening after the surgery as the complication.

There is the great deal of research that was done, which showed that the cohort of 25 patients at the dialysis center has shown that when these patients were induced with the insulin therapy before the surgery has shown the success rate of 87% and in this way, the treatment for the patient is becoming easier. The risk of having Diabetes Mellitus after the kidney transplant has been reduced significantly and in this way measures are now being introduced in many hospitals of the world.

On the other hand, there is another cohort for the study which is having the dialysis for the terms of 3 to 5 years. Most of these patients are getting their pre-emptive insulin therapy. However, the results for these are not as much significant as thought and hence, it made the good improvement in the treatment modalities and made the good progress for the patients who are being treated for it.
