Diabetes Mellitus in association with ACS

For the people who are suffering from the Diabetes Mellitus, there are many different complications that may arise in them. However, when it comes to the gender and the connection with the ACS and Diabetes Mellitus, there are many different things which are seen clinically. There are more chances that the women will have the ACS than men and in this way, women are more predispose to the fact that they will suffer from the ACS in the future. Among the classification of ACS, the most prominent causes for these patients have the myocardial infarction which will be presented in most of the patients.
According to the Euro Heart Survey, the ratio of the women having Diabetes Mellitus along with the attack of ACS at any time of their life is 28%, and the ratio for men is only 20%. Most of the time, women are suffering from either the NSTEMI or unstable angina. When men are considered for the different diseases associated with the Diabetes Mellitus, there is the higher ratio that is present for them. It included the ratio which is lesser for men, while women are much more predisposed to the fact that they are having the ACS.
In women, the requirement for more ACS and Diabetes Mellitus therapy is being considered. For many patients, the ratio of women is higher when the death calculation has been done, and when the men are considered, the ratio for death in men is not high. According to the analysis done USA, 8.6% of the patients die in the hospital with the ACS and Diabetes Mellitus, and among these patients more than 67% of the patients are women.
Therefore, in most of the medical councils, it is now a common practice that the patients who are suffering from the Diabetes Mellitus must also be educated with the terms of ACS. Not only have the patients been to be considered for the glycemic control, but there are many other things which are considered to be having the great control for their body. Therefore, the good control on the sugar, the lipid and the good exercise, and controlling of other factors will control the ACS from being happening to the patient. Controlling the different dependent and independent risk factors is the only way of controlling the Diabetes Mellitus and the attack of ACS in the body.
